Canucks re-sign Jannik Hansen

Vancouver Canucks President and General Manager Mike Gillis announced today that the Canucks have re-signed right winger Jannik Hansen. In keeping with club policy terms were not disclosed.

Hansen, 23, recorded 21 points (6-15-21) in 55 games played with the Canucks and one point (1-0-1) in two games played with the Manitoba Moose. The Herlev, Denmark native set career highs for most goals (6), assists (15) and points (21) in a single season and finished 25th in scoring among all Rookies in the League. The 6'1", 201-pound right winger also appeared in two playoff games.

Hansen was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 9th round, 287th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
