Sabres agree to terms with Cody McCormick

Buffalo Sabres GM Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent center Cody McCormick on a one-year contract.

McCormick collected 12 points (1+11) and 92 penalty minutes in 55 regular season games last season with the Colorado Avalanche. A native of London, Ontario, the 26-year-old McCormick has appeared in 190 NHL games, collecting 30 points (9+21) and 250 penalty minutes with Colorado.

McCormick was selected by Colorado in the Fifth Round (144th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
