Blues sign forwards Cracknell, Tallackson

St. Louis Blues President John Davidson announced Thursday the club has signed forwards Adam Cracknell and Barry Tallackson.

Cracknell, 24, played last season with the American Hockey League’s Quad City Flames, tallying 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) and 36 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 191-pound forward tied for second on Quad City last season with 79 games played.

The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Calgary in the ninth round, 279th overall in the 2004 Entry Draft.

Tallackson, 26, played in 56 games with the Lowell Devils (AHL) last season, recording 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) and 29 penalty minutes. The 6-5, 215-pound forward has played in 20 NHL games all with New Jersey, registering two points (one goal, one assist) along with two penalty minutes.
