By Kevin Smith - Special to NHL.com

Actor/director Kevin Smith is a self-proclaimed New Jersey Devils fanatic. Kevin proves his
loyalty to hockey by incorporating the sport in several of his films including his first film, Clerks, and most recent release, Zack and Miri. Kevin returns to NHL.com for the second straight year to chronicle the Devils’ bid for a fourth Stanley Cup.  Smith is currently in New York filming his latest project, A Couple of Dicks, a buddy-cop comedy starring Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan.

Smith will take center stage at the illustrious Carnegie Hall Wednesday, June 17 where he'll "perform" his unique, uncensored brand of storytelling and interact with an audience often as familiar with his unusual life as he is. For tickets and more information, visit www.carnegiehall.org.

Hockey fans can root for Kevin when he faces off in the Walter Gretzky Street Hockey Tournament in Brantford, Ontario, June 5-6.  Visit http://viewaskew.com/events/gretzky/ for more information.

Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
