NEW YORK -- Carolina Hurricanes President & General Manager Jim Rutherford will be the guest on Thursday's edition of NHL Hour with Commissioner Gary Bettman on SIRIUS XM Radio.

Rutherford is the only general manager the franchise has had since arriving in North Carolina prior to the 1997-98 season. The Hurricanes, enjoying a nine-game winning streak, have secured a place in the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

NHL Hour with Commissioner Gary Bettman broadcasts live on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET on NHL Home Ice (XM Channel 204 and on SIRIUS Channel 208 as part of the "Best of XM" programming package) and NHL.com. Quote of the Day

I first met him when I was 19 years old and he coached me for 13 consecutive years. I don't know how many athletes who have had that pleasure. Al Arbour was a man that left us not only feeling like champions, but left us with a lot of great memories that we can carry on through life.
