One of the best rivalries in the NHL will be played on a national stage on March 22.
NBC has announced that it will televise the "Battle of Pennsylvania" showdown on March 22, when the Philadelphia Flyers host the Pittsburgh Penguins at 12:30 p.m. in the NBC Game of the Week. The Pens are red hot as of late, as they've won their last six games to climb right into the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Philadelphia (35-19-10) is trying to secure the No. 4 seed in the East. The Flyers are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games and are three points ahead of Montreal and Carolina.
The teams met last season in the Eastern Conference Finals, which the Pens won in five games. Pittsburgh recently completed the first 5-0 road trip in franchise history and has won eight of 10 games since Dan Bylsma replaced Michel Therrien behind the bench.
