Mike Brown scores two goals as Broncos rout Warriors 5-1

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Mike Brown scored two goals Wednesday as the Swift Current Broncos won their fourth straight Western Hockey League game, 5-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Swift Current led by period scores of 2-0 and 3-1 en route to its 21st home ice win of the season. Jan Dalecky and Cody Eakin scored goals 37 seconds apart in the first period while Spencer McAvoy also scored for the Broncos.

Moose Jaw's lone goal was scored by Jesse Paradis.

Broncos overage goaltender Travis Yonkman collected his 24th win of the season by stopping 32 of 33 shots.

Warriors netminder Jeff Bosch yielded five goals on 28 shots in the loss.

Swift Current improved to 38-27-1-1 and regained fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings, one point up on the Medicine Hat Tigers. Both Swift Current and Medicine Hat have five games remaining in the regular season.

Moose Jaw remained last in the Eastern Conference with an 18-46-1-2 record.

Swift Current swept the six game season series between the East Division rivals by outscoring Moose Jaw by a 27-10 margin.
