ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -The Ducks acquired defenseman James Wisniewski and center Erik Christensen in separate deals with Chicago and Atlanta on Wednesday to bolster their chances of a late playoff push.

Anaheim, still scrambling for a postseason berth in the Western Conference, traded center Samuel Pahlsson, defenseman Logan Stephenson and a conditional fourth-round selection in this year's draft to the Chicago Blackhawks for Wisniewski and center Petri Kontiola.

The Ducks are currently in ninth place in the West.

Wisniewski had two goals, 11 assists and 14 penalty minutes in 31 games for Chicago after missing the first 28 due to a knee injury.

Anaheim picked up Christensen from the Thrashers for center Eric O'Dell. Christensen had five goals and 14 assists with Atlanta.

Earlier in the day, the Ducks traded left wing Travis Moen and defenseman Kent Huskins to Pacific Division-leading rival San Jose for center Nick Bonino, goalie Timo Pielmeier and a conditional fourth round pick in this year's draft.

Anaheim also sent defenseman Steve Montador to the Boston Bruins for Petteri Nokelainen.

The Sharks began Wednesday tied with Boston for the best record in the NHL with 93 points. They own a commanding 25-point lead over second-place Anaheim in the division.

Moen had four goals and seven assists in 63 games with the Ducks this season. He's expected to bolster the Sharks' front line, which has been depleted by injuries to Mike Grier and Jeremy Roenick. Both could be out until the playoffs.

Huskins had two goals, four assists and 27 penalty minutes in 33 games for the Ducks before missing the last 26 games with a broken foot.

Bonino is in his sophomore season at Boston University, winning the MVP trophy at last month's Beanpot Tournament. He has 13 goals and 24 assists in 33 games this season. He was chosen by San Jose in the sixth round of the 2007 draft.

Pielmeier, a 19-year-old goalie, is 29-9 with a 2.62 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage in 41 games this season with Shawinigan-Cataractes of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

He was a third-round pick by San Jose in the 2007 draft.
