Penguins acquire defenceman Wozniewski from Blues for blue-liner Richmond

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues sent Andy Wozniewski to the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday in exchange for fellow defenceman Danny Richmond.

Richmond has 17 points (3-14) in 55 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League this season. Wozniewski has 17 points (1-16) in 56 games for Peoria.

He also played one game with the Blues and did not record a point.

The Penguins also assigned forward Bill Thomas to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

He has three points (2-1) in 16 games with Pittsburgh this season.
