PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - Tomas Vincour returned from a shoulder injury and had a goal and an assist to lead the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings to a 3-2 victory over the Prince George Cougars in WHL play Friday.

Jeff Lee, the captain of the Oil Kings (26-31-2-4), and Logan Proulx had the other goals for Edmonton. Goaltender Torrie Jung stopped 28 shots.

Greg Fraser and Marek Viedensky, who tallied in the final minute, had the goals for Prince George (26-37-0-2).

Kevin Armstrong and Joe Caligiuri combined to stop 35 shots in the Prince George net as the Cougars, who are still in control of the Western Conference's final playoff spot, dropped their fourth-straight contest.

The two teams meet again Saturday night in Prince George.

Quote of the Day

I downplayed the first one because I thought it's just a hockey game. We just want to win the game; it's against our rival and we want the two points. I downplayed it, but now having gone through the first one I look back and say, 'Geez, that was really cool.' I think as I've grown a bit older I've got a lot more appreciation for what we're allowed to do every day.
