Sept. 4, 2009: Anaheim traded RW Jason Bailey to Ottawa for LW Shawn Weller.

Sept. 5, 2009: Chicago traded Toronto's 2nd-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft (previously  acquired) to Toronto for Calgary’s 2nd-round pick in 2011 (previously acquired) and Toronto's 3rd-round pick in 2011.

Sept. 12, 2009: Ottawa traded LW Dany Heatley and a 5th-round pick in the 2010 Entry Draft to San Jose for RW Jonathan Cheechoo, LW Milan Michalek and a 2nd-round pick in 2010.
