ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -The Minnesota Wild will be without veteran winger Owen Nolan when they play the Nashville Predators on Friday.

Nolan skated at practice on Thursday but was too sore with what the team is calling upper body muscle spasms. Nolan's 12 goals this season are just three behind team leader Mikko Koivu despite playing in 19 fewer games. The Wild says it is possible he will play Sunday against Edmonton.

Craig Weller also continues to recover from a head injury. He skated on Thursday but still was not ready to practice. He hasn't played since Jan. 15.
