Tanaka scores two, including overtime winner, as Belleville edges Ottawa 6-5

OTTAWA - Cory Tanaka scored two goals, including the winner 4:14 into overtime, as the Belleville Bulls defeated the Ottawa 67's 6-5 Friday night.

Shawn Lalonde also had two goals for the Bulls (34-13-2-2) while Eric Tangradi and Nick Palmieri had the others. P.K. Subban had two assists, including one on the winning goal.

"Personally tonight I don't think that I played a great game," said Subban. "I was just happy that I could regroup and get back on the game plan with the team and help them win."

Ryan Martindale had two goals and an assist for the 67's (28-16-3-2) while Anthony Nigro, Logan Couture and Stephen Blunden had a goal and an assist each. Thomas Nesbitt had two assists.

"If there's any disappointment I think it's with their tying goal in the third period," said Ottawa coach Brian Kilrea. "We overstayed our shift and instead of getting off we stayed on too long and had tired backcheckers.

"In a one-goal game every play is important and they made the one that counted."
