MEDICINE HAT, Alta. - Tyler Ennis scored two goals in the second period and another in a shootout to lead the Medicine Hat Tigers over the Chilliwack Bruins 6-5 on Tuesday night in Western Hockey League action.
Tristan King also scored in regulation and the shootout and rookie goaltender Tyler Bunz made consecutive saves in the tie-breaker as Medicine Hat survived a late rally. Cody Carlson, Tristan King and Linden Vey also scored for Tigers (26-16-3-3), who led 5-2 after 40 minutes.
Chris Collins and Brad Ward scored for early the Bruins (13-30-2-4), while two goals from Andy Smith and another from Ryan Howse tied the game in the third period .
Bruins netminder Lucas Gore stopped 28 of the 33 shots he saw, including four on a Medicine Hat power-play in overtime.
Bunz saved 28 of 33 Chilliwack shots.
Medicine Hat was 3-for-7 on the power-play and killed all three of Chilliwack's chances with the extra-man.
