COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Columbus Blue Jackets placed defenceman Rostislav Klesla on injured reserve due to a lower-body injury.
Blue Jackets coach Ken Hitchcock said Klesla, who was hurt Saturday at St. Louis, could be sidelined up to four weeks. He had only recently returned to the lineup after missing most of the season with a high ankle sprain. Hitchcock said the latest injury was not a recurrence of that.
Klesla has a goal and four assists in 19 games this season. He was the Blue Jackets' first draft pick when the franchise came into the league in 2000 and is the last player still on the roster from that first season.
