Quebec (1-1-0) came back from a 5-3 deficit after 40 minutes and rebounded from a tough 4-2 loss to West on Monday. In the other early game, West doubled Finland 6-3. Russia faced Atlantic and Germany took on Pacific later Tuesday.
At Campbell River, B.C., Michael Bournival scored twice, while Gabriel Desjardins, Samuel Carrier, Martin Lefebvre and Matthew Bissonnette had the other Quebec goals
Denis Mihalik, with two, Lukas Cingel, Michal Cajkovsky, Michal Murcek and Dominik Simcak replied for Slovakia (0-1-0).
At Port Alberni, B.C., Jordan De Pape had three goals and an assist to leas West over Finland.
Nolan Zajac, Quinton Howden and Mark Stone also scored for West (2-0-0).
Teemu Rautiainen, Teemu Pulkkinen and Mika Partanen scored for Finland (0-2-0), which was coming off a 12-1 thrashing at the hands of the United States on Monday.
