NHL Network blows into the Windy City for the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic 2009 at Wrigley Field

NEW YORK – NHL Network has the bases covered with more than eight hours of exclusive live pre- and post-game coverage of the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic™ 2009 at Wrigley Field in Chicago beginning Wednesday, Dec. 31. NHL Network's Brian Duff, Gary Green, Larry Murphy and Rob Simpson will be on-site with features and analysis to get viewers ready for the big game as the hometown Blackhawks take on the defending Stanley Cup champion Detroit Red Wings on New Year's Day, January 1.
 
On Wednesday, Dec. 31, NHL Network has live coverage of both the Red Wings' and the Blackhawks' practices as they prepare for this season's only outdoor NHL game. Features will include player interviews, news conferences and weather reports from Wrigley Field.
 
Coverage continues on gameday, January 1, with live pre- and post-game coverage on NHL Network. The pre-game show features interviews and analysis with a focus on how the players prepare for an outdoor game and how the weather will impact ice conditions throughout the game.
 
Following the game, NHL Network will have highlights and analysis of all of the best goals, saves and hits from the game. The panel also will break down the game including how the teams adjusted to the conditions from the opening faceoff to the final horn.
