Kiriakou has four-point night to lead Ottawa past the Petes 6-3

OTTAWA - Thomas Kiriakou led the way with two goals and two assists Friday night as the Ottawa 67's doubled up on the Peterborough Petes 6-3 in the Ontario Hockey League.

The 67's entered the third period with a 3-2 lead, but scored three times in the opening 10 minutes of the period to put the game out of reach.

Cody Lindsay had a goal and an assist for the Ottawa (19-14-0-2) while Tyler Toffoli, Jon Carnevale and Anthony Nigro scored a goal each. Travis Gibbons had three assists and Logan Couture had two.

Tony Roman, Zach Harnden and Ryan Spooner found the net for the Petes (15-20-0-2), who were delayed more than two hours getting into Ottawa because of bad weather. The game started 45 minutes late.

"We knew it was going to be tough on them having played the night before and then sitting all day on the bus like that," 67's coach and general manager Brian Kilrea said. "They played well and for two periods we were in tough. We got a couple of breaks in the third to get a couple of goals."

Adam Courchaine made 33 saves to earn the win for Ottawa, while Peterborough netminder Jason Missiaen stopped 38 shots.
