ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Blues will have to make due without defenceman Jay McKee for the next little while.

McKee is out indefinitely with a fractured left ring finger. He sustained the injury in the third period of St. Louis's 6-3 loss Tuesday night to the Calgary Flames.

The Blues have recalled defenceman Jonas Junland from the AHL's Peoria Rivermen. Junland, 21, has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 21 games with the Rivermen.

Junland appeared in 52 games with Linkoping of the Swedish Elite League last season, registering 20 points (three goals, 17 assists). The native of Linkoping, Sweden, was a third-round pick (64th overall) by the Blues in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

Quote of the Day

For our team, as a group, we've never been this far before, and so it's just more lessons learned, and sometimes you have to go to the school of hard knocks to find out what works and what doesn't. We've got a young group. They've played some unreal hockey here to get us this far, and we showed if we're not going to play the proper way, a really, really good hockey team is going to beat you, and that's what they did. It's a lesson learned.
