A hat trick wasn't enough for Keegan Dansereau, he wanted the game-winner too.

Dansereau had three goals in three periods before capping a spectacular night by scoring the game-winning goal with 44 seconds left as the Swift Current Broncos edged the Prince George Cougars 7-6 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday. It was Dansereau's fourth goal of the game, giving him 19 on the season. The Saskatoon native also added an assist.

Jan Dalecky, Justin Dowling and Matt Tassone added goals for the Broncos (18-14-0-1).

Elsewhere in the WHL, it was: Ice 8, Blazers 3; Blades 5, Wheat Kings 1; and Giants 7, Thunderbirds 3

At Prince George, B.C.,Cameron Cepek, with two, Dallas Jackson, Parker Stanfield, Brett Connolly and Justin Maylan had the goals for Prince George (12-19-0-1).

Swift Current's Travis Yonkman made 36 saves for the win, while Kevin Armstrong and Joe Caligiuri combined for 23 stops at the other end.

Ice 8, Blazers 3

At Cranbrook, B.C., Dustin Sylvester scored twice to lead Kootenay over the Kamloops Blazers.

Blades 5, Wheat Kings 1

At Saskatoon, Milan Kytnar, Burke Gallimore, Chris Langkow and Curtis Hamilton each scored a goal and an assist as the Blades routed the Brandon Wheat Kings.

Giants 7, Thunderbirds 3

At Vancouver, Evander Kane scored four goals and assisted on another as the Giants overcame an early deficit to beat the Seattle Thunderbirds.
