Soucie scores shootout winner in 14th round as Windsor downs Saginaw 4-3

SAGINAW, Mich. - It took 14 rounds in the shootout before Ron Soucie finally notched the winner as the Windsor Spitfires outlasted the Saginaw Spirit 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Saturday night.

Taylor Hall scored twice to take sole possession of the OHL scoring lead with 40 points (18 goals, 22 assists) and Rob Kwiet added a goal in regulation for Windsor (21-2-0-0).

Saginaw (12-7-0-1) got singles from Kyle Bochek, Jakub Svoboda and T. J. Brodie, who tied the game with less then four minutes to go.

In the shootout, both teams scored in the fifth round, but were otherwise held scoreless until Soucie's goal decided it for the Spitfires.

Windsor goaltender Andrew Engelage turned aside 24 shots in regulation and three in overtime. Edward Pasquale stopped 40 shots in regulation and four in overtime for the Spirit.
