PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. - Dustin Cameron and Matt Robertson scored shootout goals to negate a two-goal comeback by the Oil Kings as the Prince Albert Raiders edged Edmonton 4-3 on Saturday night in the Western Hockey League.
The Raiders led 2-0 after the second period on goals from Ryan Harrison and Ryan McDonald. Nathan Deck added a power-play marker in the third period to put Prince Albert (9-7-0-0) up 3-1 before the Oil Kings stormed back with two goals in the final seven minutes.
Brenden Dowd scored the tying goal on the power play with less than two minutes remaining in regulation. Rhett Rachinski and Clayton Cumiskey also scored for Edmonton (6-9-1-1).
Steven Stanford made 29 saves and was perfect in the shootout for the Raiders, while Oil Kings netminder Torrie Jung stopped 34 shots.
