PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Flyers have changed the start time for their Oct. 25 game against New Jersey to 4 p.m. to avoid a conflict with Game 3 of the World Series.
The Philadelphia Phillies will play their first World Series home game in 15 years across the street at Citizens Bank Park that night.
The Flyers were scheduled to play the New Jersey Devils at 7 p.m.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren says the 4 p.m. starting time "should alleviate some of the congestion in the sports complex area and gives our fans the opportunity to view Game 3 of the World Series."
