Latta scores twice, Lindsay adds game winner as Ottawa defeats Kitchener 5-3

KITCHENER, Ont. - Michael Latta scored twice and teammate Cody Lindsay added the game winner on a power play late in the second period as the Ottawa 67's beat the Kitchener Rangers 5-3 on Friday in the OHL.

Tye McGinn and Logan Couture, into an empty net, completed the scoring for the 67's (5-1-0-2), who won despite being outshot 43-25 in the game. Adam Courchaine was the difference in goal for Ottawa, stopping 40 shots.

Nick Spaling had a pair of goals in response for the Rangers (5-1-0-0), the OHL's last unbeaten team. Mike Duco added a single, while Justin Azevedo and Matt Halischuk chipped in with two assists apiece.

Josh Unice made 20 saves in a losing cause for Kitchener.
