JOHAN FRANZEN: We're here to play hockey. We're having a lot of fun, moving the puck. We try to stay away as much as we can.

Q.  Can you talk about [Penguins forward Petr] Sykora?

JOHAN FRANZEN: I didn't see it.

Q.  Did he take a shot? Did they take a shot at you?

JOHAN FRANZEN: I'm not going to worry about it.

Q.  How comfortable were you out there?

JOHAN FRANZEN: I felt pretty good. Like I said, it's really good when you get the lead and things go your way. Feeling good.

Q.  Do you think he went for your head?

JOHAN FRANZEN:  Went for my head?

Q.  [Penguins forward Gary] Roberts.

JOHAN FRANZEN: It's pretty big. So I think so. Hard to miss.

Q.  Were you surprised how offensively talented Pittsburgh is and they haven't scored a goal?

JOHAN FRANZEN: Yeah, it may be that we're doing a great job getting back. Got three guys inside all the time, and we'll try to keep them on the outside. And when we need, obviously stepping up and making a few saves.

Q.  (Inaudible.)

JOHAN FRANZEN: No, he's playing really good for us.

Q.  Are these statement games for the Red Wings, showing the entire League just how good this team is?

JOHAN FRANZEN: It's only two games. We've got to stay humble. But they're two solid games here. Just kind of look different out there. So we'll see. So far so good.

Quote of the Day

There was a lot of talk off the ice. From a player's standpoint, that's not the talk in the room. GMs make decisions, coaches make decisions, but as a team you have to come together and be ready to go, and we are.
