Blue Jackets activate Fedorov, send Picard to Syracuse

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -The Columbus Blue Jackets activated center Sergei Fedorov off injured reserve for their game at Chicago on Tuesday night, and assigned forward Alexandre Picard to the club's AHL affiliate in Syracuse.

Fedorov missed the last three games with an elbow injury. He has 13 goals and 15 assists in 36 games this season. In 1,091 career NHL games, Fedorov has 456 goals and 635 assists for 1,091 points.

Picard, 21, has no goals in nine games with the Blue Jackets this season. He has seven goals and six assists in 28 games with Syracuse. He was Columbus's top pick in the 2004 entry draft.
