    NHL GameCenter™ is available in the iTunes App Store.

    What is the NHL GameCenter™ application?

    NHL GameCenter™ is the official application of the NHL®.  NHL GameCenter™ brings fans close to the ice with an all-inclusive bundle of scores, stats and media features accessible right on your iPhone® and iPad®. 

    There are three tiers of the NHL GameCenter™ application:  NHL GameCenter™ (free), NHL GameCenter™ Premium, and NHL GameCenter LIVE™.   After downloading the free NHL GameCenter™ application there will be instructions on how to upgrade to the other tiers.

    NHL GameCenter™ Includes:
    - Live Scores and Stats for Every Team and Player
    - Live Game Simulation (with Boxscore, Play-by-Play and Photos)
    - Post-Game Video Highlights

    If I already have NHL GameCenter™ 2012-2013 do I need to download the new NHL GameCenter™ application?

    Yes, NHL GameCenter™ 2012-2013 has expired. You will need to update your application to the new NHL GameCenter™ application.

    What version of the NHL GameCenter™ application should I download to upgrade or unlock live video content?

    You should download the free NHL GameCenter™ application and follow the instructions to upgrade or you can use your credentials to unlock NHL GameCenter LIVE™ video content.

    How Do I Upgrade to NHL GameCenter LIVE™?

    If you are not an NHL GameCenter LIVE™ broadband subscriber, follow these steps:
    Download the free NHL GameCenter™ application, go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Account Sign In' to upgrade your application.

    If you are a GameCenter™ Premium subscriber but not an NHL GameCenter LIVE™ subscriber, follow these steps:

    Open your GameCenter™ Premium application, go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Account Sign In' to upgrade your application.

    If you are already subscribed to NHL GameCenter LIVE™ through broadband, follow these steps to access NHL GameCenter LIVE™ on your iPhone or iPad:
    Download the free NHL GameCenter™ Application, go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Account Sign In' and log in with your existing username and password to unlock NHL GameCenter LIVE™ for your iPhone and iPad including all NHL GameCenter™ Premium features.

    How do I log in to access live video content if I am already an NHL GameCenter LIVE™ subscriber?

    To access your account and live video content, tap on ‘Account Sign In’ within the ‘Settings’ tab of the main menu drop-down.  Then click ‘Sign In’ to enter your username and password to unlock live video content.

    Why is the video/radio and schedule not loading?

    Please check to make sure your signal strength is full and has at least 3G coverage. If available, try connecting your device to WiFi if the problem persists. If your mobile device's signal strength is full and the video/ radio or schedule is still not loading, please try closing and reopening the application. If you are using a public WiFi site make sure that you open a browser and accept their terms and conditions so that you are connected to the internet.

    Why can't I access any live game video?

    In order to access live game video you need to have your location settings on. Go to 'Location Services' within your device's 'Settings' section and make sure the application is set to on. In order for the new setting to take effect you must completely shut out of the application and re-launch it.

    Also, please make sure you do the following after you check location services:

    a) Have you authenticated the application using your Username and Password? If not, you will need to go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Account Sign In' and sign in using your existing username and password to authenticate.

    b) You may need to restart the NHL GameCenter™ application by closing it in fast application switching. To access the fast application switching feature, press the button with the square in it on the device itself two times consecutively. You will see a tray of application’s at the bottom of your screen. When performing this action please make sure you are not in the NHL GameCenter™ application or the application will not appear in the tray. Press and hold your finger on the NHL GameCenter™ application icon until you see a red circle with a white dash on the upper left hand corner of the application icon and it starts to rock, select the red circle to remove the application from the tray, select above the tray to remove the tray, go back into the NHL GameCenter™ application.

    Why are my videos taking so long to start?

    This is most likely due to low internet bandwidth. Make sure you have internet connection that can support video streaming. It is recommended to use Wi-Fi for best results.

    Why do I receive a blackout message?

    NHL GameCenter LIVE™ provides access to live games featuring teams outside your local viewing area.  We refer to such games as “out-of-market” games.  Games involving teams within your local market (both home and away games) and nationally televised games are blacked out on NHL GameCenter LIVE™.  If a blackout message appears on your device it is because you are trying to view a game being broadcast either in your local market or nationally.  To view live game video select an out-of-market game in the schedule module of the application. For more information about blackout guidelines read below:

    You are blacked out of games on NHL GameCenter LIVE™ for one of the following reasons:

    a) The game you are trying to access is being televised on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station's signal.

    b) The game you are trying to access is being televised on a regional sports network and your cable or satellite system falls within the distribution for that regional sports network (regardless of whether your cable or satellite system actually carries that regional sports network).

    c) The game you are trying to access is being televised on a national network.  In the U.S. this includes NBC, NBC Sports Network and the NHL Network.  In Canada this includes CBC, TSN and the NHL Network™.

    Why are my notifications not working?

    This may occur because the notifications option within your device settings is switched off. Select the ‘Settings’ icon for your device and then select the ‘Notifications’ tab. Within the ‘Notifications’ page, select ‘Notifications’ to ‘ON’. In addition, please be sure Notifications are turned ‘ON’ for NHL GameCenter™. To check this option, select the ‘Settings’ icon and then select the ‘Notifications’ tab. Within the Notifications page, please select the NHL GameCenter™ application tab to specify which notifications you choose to enable, i.e. Sounds, Alerts and Badges.
