    If I already have NHL GameCenter™ 2010 do I need to download NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012?

    Yes, NHL GameCenter™ 2010 has expired. You will need to download NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012.

    What version of the NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 app should I download to upgrade or unlock live video content?

    You can download NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 or NHL GameCenter™ Premium 2011-2012 to upgrade or you can use your credentials to unlock NHL GameCenter™ live video content.

    How do I log in to access live video content if I am already a GCL subscriber?

    To access live video content, tap on the "Settings" cog button located on the top right corner of the page. At the bottom of the page tap "Account Log In". The credential fields are located at the bottom of the overlay upgrade message. Type in your GCL username and password to unlock live video content.

    How do I see game video and listen to live game radio?

    Using NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 LIVE choose any current  game and tap on the red watch live icon or tap on the watch tv icon located on the top right of the page to view live game video. Using NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 PREMIUM or NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 LIVE choose any current or previously played game and select video highlights on the Play-by-Play page to view the game highlight of your choice. Using  NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 PREMIUM  or NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 LIVE choose any current game and tap on the live radio headphones icon from the game center of any game being played real-time, to listen to live game radio. If you are having a problem initializing live video or radio, please close and reopen the application.

    Why is the video/radio and schedule not loading?

    Please check to make sure your signal strength is full and has 3G coverage. If available, try connecting your device to WiFi if the problem persists. If your mobile device's signal strength is full and the video/ radio or schedule is still not loading, please try closing and reopening the application. If you are using a public WiFi site make sure that you open a browser and accept their terms and conditions, so that you are connected to the internet.

    Why can't I access any live game video?

    In order to access live game video you need to have your location settings on. Go to 'Location Services' within your device's 'Settings' section and make sure the app is set to on. In order for the new setting to take effect you must completely shut out of the app and relaunch it. If that is on, then it could be a couple of things.

    Also, please make sure you do the following after you check location services.

    a) Have you authenticated the app using your User Name and Password? If not, you will need to go to to "settings" (gear or washer icon) in the upper right hand corner of the NHL GameCenter application. At the bottom you will see an "account log-in" title. Selecting that tile will generate an overlay that will have user name and password fields at the bottom of the overlay. Enter the User Name and Password to authenticate.

    b) you may need to restart the NHL GameCenter app by closing it in fast app switching. To access the fast app switching feature, press the button with the square in it on the device itself two times consecutively. You will see a tray of applications at the bottom of your screen. When performing this action please make sure you are not in the NHL GameCenter app or the app will not appear in the tray. Press and hold your finger on the GameCenter app icon until you see a red circle with a white dash on the upper left hand corner of the app icon and it starts to rock, select the red circle to remove the app from the tray, select above the tray to remove the tray, go make into the GameCenter app. If the app was cleared from the tray correctly you will see a splash page that says "NHL GameCenter and it shows the 30 NHL logos. This should reset the app and the games should appear.

    Why are my videos taking so long to start?

    This is most likely due to low internet bandwidth. Make sure you have internet connection that can support video streaming. It is recommended to use Wi-Fi for best results.

    Why doesn't the audio work on the iPad NHL GameCenter app?

    Please ensure that the side mute switch on the iPad is turned OFF. You may then adjust the iPad volume by tapping on the side rocker to increase the audio to an appropriate listening level.

    Why do I receive a blackout message?

    If a blackout message appears on your device it is because you are trying to view a game while located in-market. To view LIVE Game Video, select an out-of-market game in the schedule module of the application. For more information about blackout guidelines read below: You are blacked out of games on NHL GameCenter™ 2011-2012 LIVE based on a number of factors, including: a. Your local team is televising on a local over-the-air station and you are located within that station’s signal. b. Your local team is televising on a local regional sports network and your cable or satellite system falls within the distribution for that local regional sports network (regardless of whether your cable or satellite system actually carries that regional sports network.) c. There is no local television coverage of your local team. d. The game is being televised nationally – In the U.S. this includes NBC, Versus, and the NHL Network. In Canada this includes CBC, TSN, and the NHL Network.

    Why are my notifications not working?

    This may occur because the notifications option within your device settings is switched off. Select the  SETTINGS icon for your device and then select the NOTIFICATIONS tab. Within the NOTIFICATIONS page, select NOTIFICATIONS to ON. In addition, please be sure NOTIFICATIONS are turned ON for  NHL GameCenter™. To check this option, Select the SETTINGS icon and then select the NOTIFICATIONS tab.  Within the Notifications page, please select the NHL GameCenter™ application tab to specify which notifications you choose to enable, i.e. Sounds, Alerts and Badges. Please select all NHL GameCenter™ notifications to ON.

    How do I restore in-app purchases of NHL GameCenter Premium when updating to iOS 5?

    If your iOS 5 upgrade deleted your previous in-app purchase of NHL GameCenter Premium, please plug your iPhone back into your computer and sync. If all goes well, and you had NHL GameCenter transferred to your computer, this should sync it back up to your iPhone or iPad.

    If the syncing method above does not work, you can re-download NHL GameCenter from the iTunes App Store and perform another in-app upgrade to premium.  Enter the same appleID login credentials associated with your original purchase (not your NHL login ID) and click ‘buy’. Please note, you will not be charged for the app again.
