Sunday, 10.20.2013 / 12:15 AM

PREDATORS (4-3-1) at JETS (4-4-0)

TV: FS-TN, TSN-JETS

Season series: This is the first of five games between the new Central Division rivals. They will meet again Thursday night in Nashville.

Big story: Nashville brings a four-game points streak to Winnipeg, which has won two of its past three games. Sunday marks the fifth of a six-game homestand for the Jets. They have split the first four games thus far.

Team Scope:

Predators: Nashville extended its points streak to five Saturday night with a 2-1 win against the Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre. Seth Jones, the Predators’ first-round pick (No. 4) at the 2013 NHL Draft, received nearly 28 minutes of ice time and scored the game-winning goal with 1:27 left in regulation.

"You talk about how poised he is and everything, but at the same time he's still a kid," defenseman Shea Weber said. "He loves the game; you saw the joy in his eyes when he scored. He loves the game and he wants to make a difference. Tonight he did."

Jets: Winnipeg will be looking to make it two in a row after a 4-3 shootout win against the St. Louis Blues at MTS Centre on Friday night. The Jets rallied from a 3-1 deficit in the third period on goals from Evander Kane and Tobias Enstrom, which came roughly five minutes apart in the latter stages of the period.

"We showed some heart to battle back to get some key goals," Kane said. "Our attitude from in the room was good. We didn't sit back in the last eight minutes. We started to push, and that was good to see."

Who's hot: Predators center David Legwand had two assists Saturday and has four in the past three games. Weber has two goals in the past three. … Enstrom has a goal and two assists in the past five games; Kane has three goals in the past two.

Injury report: Predators defenseman Roman Josi (concussion) is questionable, along with forward Rich Clune (personal reasons). Mike Fisher (lower body) is day-to-day. … Jets defenseman Jacob Trouba (neck sprain) was placed on injured reserve Saturday. Right wing Chris Thorburn (upper body) is also on IR.
