Rocco Grimaldi scores twice, Pirates double up IceCaps 4-2

PORTLAND, Maine - Rocco Grimaldi had a pair of goals as the Portland Pirates doubled up the visiting St. John's IceCaps 4-2 on Friday in American Hockey League action.

Rob Schremp and Cameron Gaunce also scored for the Pirates (26-15-1), who got a 27-save outing from Mike McKenna. Mackenzie Weegar and Wayne Simpson tacked on a pair of assists apiece.

Bud Holloway and Mark MacMillan found the back of the net for the IceCaps (19-16-9). Eddie Pasquale turned away 31-of-35 shots in defeat.

Portland went 1 for 3 on the power play while St. John's scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
