Ottawa Senators forward Clarke MacArthur and defenseman Marc Methot have been out of the lineup because of concussions, general manager Bryan Murray said Tuesday.

MacArthur hasn't played since leaving in the second period of a 7-3 win against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Oct. 14.

"We're going to take our time with him," Murray said in comments tweeted by the Senators.

Methot last played Oct. 15 against the Pittsburgh Penguins and could return to the lineup as early as Saturday against the Arizona Coyotes, Murray told The Ottawa Citizen.

MacArthur is scoreless in four games this season; Methot has one goal in five games.

The Senators (3-2-1) are off until Thursday, when they host the New Jersey Devils.
