Oilers sign forward Braden Christoffer to entry-level contract

EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers have signed winger Braden Christoffer to a three-year entry level contract.

The 21-year-old Christoffer spent the 2014-15 season with the Western Hockey League's Regina Pats, recording 59 points (26 goals, 33 assists) and 147 penalty minutes in 72 games. He also added eight points and 12 penalty minutes in nine playoff games.

The five-foot-10, 188-pound forward 114 points (50 goals, 64 assists) and 368 penalty minutes in 202 career games over three seasons with the Pats.

The Sherwood Park, Alta., native signed an AHL contract prior to attending training camp this year on an amateur tryout. He is currently with the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors, where he has posted two assists in pre-season play.
