Rangers agree to terms with forwards Etem, Lindberg

The New York Rangers agreed to terms with forwards Emerson Etem and Oscar Lindberg on Tuesday.

Newsday reported Etem's contract is for one year at $850,000, and Lindberg received a two-year, $1.3 million contract.

Etem, acquired from the Anaheim Ducks on June 27 in a trade for forward Carl Hagelin, was a restricted free agent. The 23-year-old had five goals and 10 points in 45 regular-season games last season and three goals in 12 Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Etem was the 29th pick of the 2010 NHL Draft by the Ducks and played 112 games, scoring 15 goals and 31 points.

Lindberg, 23, played 75 games with the Rangers' American Hockey League affiliate, the Hartford Wolf Pack, last season and had 28 goals, 28 assists and 68 penalty minutes. He had three goals and 13 assists in 16 Calder Cup Playoff games.

A second-round pick (No. 57) by the Arizona Coyotes in 2010, Lindberg played one game for the Rangers last season and could compete for a roster spot when training camp opens in September.
