Predators sign Hodgson to one-year contract

Cody Hodgson signed a one-year, $1.05 million contract with the Nashville Predators on Wednesday, the team announced.

Hodgson, 25, spent the past four seasons with the Buffalo Sabres, scoring six goals and 13 points in 78 games in 2014-15. In 289 career NHL games spanning five seasons, Hodgson has 61 goals and 134 points.

Hodgson was selected in the first round (No. 10) of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.

Former Sabres general manager Darcy Regier signed Hodgson to a six-year, $25.5 million contract in the summer of 2013. In 2013-14 he had NHL career-highs with 20 goals and 44 points.
