RALEIGH, NCRon Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has signed defenseman Tyler Ganly to a three-year, entry-level contract. On the NHL level, the deal will pay Ganly $575,000 in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and $650,000 in 2017-18. His American Hockey League (AHL) salary would be $60,000 per year, and he receives a signing bonus of $120,000.

"Tyler had a good season despite missing significant time due to injury," said Francis. "He was especially good in the playoffs and was a big part of his team making the OHL's Western Conference finals."

Ganly, 20, completed the 2014-15 season with the Ontario Hockey League's Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds, notching 16 points (2g, 14a) and a plus-15 rating in 38 games. The Milton, Ont., native ranked second in the league with a plus-14 plus/minus rating, and ranked second among Greyhounds defensemen with two goals in the 2015 OHL Playoffs.
