Senators' Stone a game-time decision vs. Canadiens

MONTREAL -- Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone's status for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference First Round series against the Montreal Canadiens (7 p.m. ET; CBC, CNBC, TVA Sports) will be determined at game time, coach Dave Cameron said Friday.

"It's like every other player," Cameron said. "As long as it's not detrimental to his health that's the first thing you ask and you go from there."

Stone participated in Ottawa's optional morning skate Friday. He worked on his stickhandling and shot pucks before taking part in a light shooting drill and leaving for the dressing room about six minutes after he jumped on the ice.

He appeared to be favoring his injured right wrist that the Senators announced Thursday had a microfracture and some ligament damage. Stone did not speak to the media after the skate.

Stone was injured during Ottawa’s 4-3 loss in Game 1 when he was slashed on the right wrist by Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban at 8:23 of the second period. Stone returned to play but went back to the dressing room for the first half of the third period. He did return to finish the game.

Subban was assessed a major penalty for slashing and a game misconduct.
