Buffalo Sabres recall defenceman Chad Ruhwedel from Rochester of American Hockey League

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenceman Chad Ruhwedel from their American Hockey League affiliate in Rochester, New York.

The 24-year-old Ruhwedel joins the Sabres for his second recall of the season. In two NHL games during his first time up in March, he recorded one assist and a plus-2 rating. Ruhwedel has 10 goals and 24 assists in 69 AHL games in 2014-15.

Now in his third season with the Sabres organization, the San Diego native has played in 30 NHL games. He signed a two-year contract extension with the club in July 2014.
