BOSTON - They're both in Hockey East, only about an hour's drive apart, but the hockey programs at Boston University and Providence couldn't have more different histories.

BU will be going for its sixth NCAA hockey championship when it plays Providence in the title game on Saturday night. Providence is looking for its first.

BU (28-7-5) won it all in 2009 under Jack Parker. Now one of his former players, David Quinn, is in charge of the Terriers. He has them playing for a title a year after winning just 10 games.

The Friars (25-13-2) have only appeared in the final once, in 1985.

The championship is at the TD Garden in Boston.
