Frattin's four points, Leipsic's hat trick lead Marlies over Flames 7-4

TORONTO - Matt Frattin scored two goals and assisted on two more and Brendan Leipsic had a hat trick to power the Toronto Marlies over the Adirondack Flames 7-4 in American Hockey League action on Tuesday.

T.J. Brennan scored into an empty-net and set up three more goals while Toronto Maple Leafs' first-round draft pick William Nylander had a power-play goal and an assist for the Marlies (34-27-9). Toronto is two points back of Milwaukee for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Ken Agostino, shorthanded, and Bill Arnold, on the power play, scored and added an assist apiece for the Flames (33-29-8). Brett Kulak and Max Reinhart supplied the rest of the offence.

Marlies goaltender Antoine Bibeau made 36 saves.

Doug Carr started in net for Adirondack, allowing three goals on seven shots through the first 20 minutes. Jacob Deserres stopped 13-of-16 shots the rest of the way.

Toronto was 4 for 7 on the power play while the Flames scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
