OHL Roundup: Knott, Maletta lead IceDogs to fourth straight victory

SUDBURY, Ont. - Graham Knott had three goals and an assist and Jordan Maletta chipped in with four helpers as the Niagara IceDogs extended their win streak to four games with a 7-1 thumping of the host Sudbury Wolves on Tuesday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Josh Ho-Sang had a pair of goals for the IceDogs (31-25-4), while Billy Jenkins scored once and set up two more. Carter Verhaeghe added a single goal to round out the attack.

Pavel Jenys scored the lone goal for the Wolves (10-49-2), who are on a five-game skid.

Niagara's Brandon Hope made 22 saves for the win as Samuel Tanguay kicked out 31-of-38 shots for Sudbury.

The IceDogs went 2 for 5 on the power play as the Wolves failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.

SAGINAW, Mich. — Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 34 shots and Victor Crus Rydberg set up three of his club's goals as Plymouth blanked the Spirit.

Sonny Milano, Will Bitten, Connor Chatham and Mitch Jones scored for the Whalers (23-32-5), who are 4-0-1 in their last five outings.

Evan Cormier turned aside 27-of-31 shots for Saginaw (24-33-3), which is on a three-game slide.

ATTACK 5 PETES 1

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Chris Bigras had a goal and two assists and Jack Flinn made 23 saves as the Attack toppled Peterborough.

Daniel Milne, Jaden Lindo, Petrus Palmu and Damir Sharipzyanov scored for Owen Sound (30-20-9) while Erik Bradford tacked on three assists.

Kyle Jenkins found the back of the net for the Petes (24-30-6), who got a 29-save outing from Matthew Mancina.
