Kings assign Shore, Berube to Manchester of AHL

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have assigned forward Nick Shore and goaltender J.F. Berube to the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Shore, a 6-1, 194-pound native of Denver, Colo., appeared in three games this season, registering one point (0-1=1) and two penalty minutes. He appeared in his first NHL game Jan. 17 vs. ANA and recorded his first NHL point (assist), Jan. 21 at SJS.

Selected in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Kings, Shore appeared in 37 games earlier this season with Manchester (AHL), collecting a career-best 41 points (20-21=41), a plus-22 rating and 14 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall on Jan. 12, among league-leaders, he was tied for first in goals, tied for third in PPG (7), first in SHG (3), second in points and tied for ninth in assists. Shore was also named to his first AHL All-Star game.
