Kings place Pearson on IR, recall Shore

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward Nick Shore from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League and placed forward Tanner Pearson on injured reserve, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 6-1, 194-pound native of Denver, Colo., has appeared in 105 career AHL games. In his second season with Manchester (AHL) he has posted 79 points (34-45=79) with a plus-40 rating and 50 penalty minutes. He has yet to appear in an NHL game.

Selected in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Kings, Shore has appeared in 37 games this season with Manchester (AHL), collecting a career-best 41 points (20-21=41), a plus-22 rating and 14 penalty minutes. At the time of his recall, among league-leaders, he was tied for first in goals, tied for third in PPG (7), first in SHG (3), second in points and tied for ninth in assists. Shore was recently named to his first AHL All-Star game.
