Hurricanes recall Terry from conditioning stint

Forward played in five games with Hurricanes’ minor-league affiliate

Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has recalled forward Chris Terry from his conditioning stint with the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey Legaue (AHL).

Terry, 25, joined Charlotte on Nov. 25 and scored one goal and earned one assist (2 points) in five games with the Checkers. The Brampton, Ont., native has totaled four goals and three assists (7 points) in 17 NHL games this season with the Hurricanes. He ranked tied for sixth in the AHL in scoring in 2013-14 with a career-high 69 points (28g, 41a) in 70 games. Selected by the Hurricanes in the fifth round (132nd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Terry has totaled five goals and five assists (10 points) in 30 career NHL games with Carolina.
