Zucker scores 2 goals, Backstrom stops 29 shots to lead surging Wild past Panthers 4-1

SUNRISE, Fla. - Jason Zucker scored two goals to lead the Minnesota Wild over the Florida Panthers 4-1 on Monday night.

Nino Niederreiter also scored for the Wild, and Mikko Koivu had two assists. Zach Parise added an empty-net goal with 1:29 left.

Niklas Backstrom stopped 29 shots to help the Wild win for the fifth time in six games.

Shawn Thornton scored for the Panthers, and Roberto Luongo made 35 saves.
