Toronto Maple Leafs recall blue-liner Holzer and forward Booth from AHL team

TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs recalled defenceman Korbinian Holzer and left-winger David Booth from their American Hockey League affiliate on Monday.

Holzer has two assists and 10 penalty minutes in nine regular-season games with the Toronto Marlies this season. The 26-year-old Munich native was recalled by the Leafs earlier this season but has yet to play in a game.

Booth, a 30-year-old Detroit native, hasn't played for the Leafs since breaking his foot after blocking a shot in a pre-season game. He rejoins the NHL club after a two-game conditioning stint with the Marlies.

Toronto's next game is at Pittsburgh on Wednesday night.
