Colorado Avalanche forwards Alex Tanguay and Dennis Everberg won't play Saturday against the Carolina Hurricanes, and goaltender Semyon Varlamov is day-to-day, according to coach Patrick Roy.
Tanguay was injured Thursday in the second period against the Washington Capitals when he was hit in the face by a shot by Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin.
In 20 games Tanguay has an Avalanche-high seven goals.
Roy also said Everberg "will be out for a while" because of a separated shoulder. The rookie right wing has one goal and four points in 13 games.
Varlamov sat out Thursday because of a groin injury.
