Zatkoff makes 28 saves as Penguins hand IceCaps third straight loss

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Jeff Zatkoff kicked away 28 shots as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins defeated the host St. John's IceCaps 4-1 on Saturday in American Hockey League play.

Scott Wilson and Nick Drazenovic scored 2:02 apart in the first period to put the Penguins (2-2-0) ahead 2-0 while Bryan Rust and Zack Torquato tacked on third-period goals to secure the win.

J.C. Lipon scored the lone goal for the IceCaps (1-2-2) at 4:09 of the second period.

Peter Budaj turned away 24-of-27 shots for St. John's.

Both clubs went 0 for 3 on the power play.
