Forward Danny Kristo agreed to terms with the New York Rangers on a contract Thursday, the team announced. Length and financial terms were not disclosed.

Kristo, 24, comes off his first full American Hockey League season, when he led the Hartford Wolf Pack with 25 goals and had 43 points.

The Rangers acquired Kristo from the Montreal Canadiens in July 2013 in a trade for forward Christian Thomas. Kristo was a second-round pick (No. 56) of the Canadiens in 2008 and turned pro following four seasons at the University of North Dakota. He tied for second in the NCAA in goals (26) and points (52) as a senior.
