Bylsma joins NHL Network as analyst for Cup Final

Stanley Cup-winning coach to appear on NHL Network for Game 3 in New York

NEW YORK – Former NHL player and coach Dan Bylsma will join NHL Network as a studio analyst for Game 3 of the 2014 Stanley Cup Final. NHL Network will broadcast live from New York at Chase Plaza outside Madison Square Garden, with extensive coverage of the Final.

Bylsma led the Pittsburgh Penguins to the 2009 Stanley Cup championship after taking over behind the bench midway through the season. He won the Jack Adams Award as the League's top coach in 2010-11, directed the United States Olympic team at the 2014 Sochi Games, and compiled a franchise-record 252 wins over his five-year tenure in Pittsburgh.

Prior to his coaching career, Bylsma played nine seasons in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks, and was a member of Anaheim's 2003 Western Conference championship team. Over his NHL career he appeared in 429 games, recording 19 goals and 62 points.

Bylsma will join NHL Network's team of hosts, analysts, and reporters on the ground in New York, including Kathryn Tappen, Steve Mears, EJ Hradek, Kevin Weekes, Mike Johnson, Marty Biron, Billy Jaffe, Barry Melrose, Jamal Mayers and Dave Strader.

On game days, NHL Network will have three hours of live coverage heading into each matchup, starting with NHL Live at 5 p.m. ET, followed by NHL Tonight: 2014 Stanley Cup Final Pre-Game Show. At the conclusion of each game, NHL Tonight: 2014 Stanley Cup Final Post-Game Show will feature a full analysis of the game.

On non-game days, NHL Network will air NHL Live from 5-7 p.m. ET on weeknights, and NHL Tonight: 2014 Stanley Cup Final Edition every night.
