Goaltender Antoine Bibeau signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday. Financial details were not released.

The Maple Leafs selected Bibeau, 20, in the sixth round (No. 172) of the 2013 NHL Draft.

Bibeau had a strong season with the Val-d'Or Foreurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, but opened eyes at the Memorial Cup as he was selected to the tournament all-star team after leading all players with a 2.76 goals-against average and .932 save percentage. He faced at least 50 shots in three of his four games, including a 50-save effort in a triple-overtime loss to the Edmonton Oil Kings in the semifinals.

He also won the Guy Lafleur Trophy as the most valuable player in the QMJHL playoffs. He won 16 games with a 2.80 GAA and .913 save percentage. He capped the run by stopping 40 of 43 shots against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar in Game 7 of the league final.

The 6-foot-3, 207-pounder went 21-18-6 with a 3.17 GAA and .907 save percentage in 48 regular-season games with Val-d'Or and the Charlottetown Islanders
