QMJHl Roundup: Gazzola scores winner as Foreurs down Remparts 5-4 in OT

QUEBEC CITY, Que. - Randay Gazzola scored at 4:13 of overtime as the Val-d'Or Foreurs edged the host Quebec Remparts 5-4 on Sunday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Louick Marcotte, Samuel Henley, Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Anthony Beauregaurd also scored for the Foreurs (41-19-2), who are 9-1-0 in their last 10 contests. Anthony Mantha chipped in with two assists.

Trailing 4-2 with less than three minutes left in regulation, Quebec's Fabrice Herzog scored twice to force overtime.

Mikhail Grigorenko had a goal and two assists for the Remparts (35-16-11) and Cody Donaghey scored once.

Val-d'Or's Antoine Bibeau made 27 saves for the win as Francois Brassard turned away 27-of-32 shots for Quebec.



BATHURST, N.B. — Jacob Brennan kicked out 26 shots as the Titan downed Saint John.

Lucas Grundy, Simon Fortier and Matthew Beaudreau scored for Acadie-Bathurst (20-37-6), which has won back-to-back games.

Jason Cameron scored the lone goal for the Sea Dogs (19-38-5), who sit one point out of the final playoff position.

Saint John's Antoine Landry stopped 27-of-30 shots in defeat.



BOSBRIAND, Que.— The Armada scored three times in the span of 4:36 in the second period en route to handing Chicoutimi its fourth straight defeat.

Ryan Tesink and Christopher Clapperton each had a goal and an assist for Blainville-Boisbriand (39-14-9) and Marcus Hinds scored once.

Dominic Beauchemin scored the lone goal for the Sagueneens (26-35-1), who are 1-9-0 in their last 10 games.

Etienne Marcoux made 22 saves for the Armada while Chicoutimi's Julio Billia turned aside 18-of-21 shots in defeat.



DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Georgs Golovkovs' goal 53 seconds into the second period stood up as the winner as the Voltigeurs blanked Gatineau.

Louis-Philip Guindon made 20 saves for his sixth shutout of the season while Joey Ratelle, Olivier Caouette and William Carriere also scored for Drummondville (38-21-4).

Vincent Dunn led the Olympiques (37-21-4) with six shots on net.

Robert Steeves stopped 34-of-38 shots for Gatineau, which is on a three-game slide.



SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Alexis D'Aoust scored once in regulation and the shootout winner as the Cataractes edged Sherbrooke to jump into the final playoff spot.

Ilya Zinoviev scored for Shawinigan (18-36-8) and assisted on D'Aoust's goal as well while Marvin Cupper made 42 saves for the victory.

Daniel Audette scored for the Phoenix (16-38-8).

Sherbrooke's Maxime Lagace turned away 30-of-32 shots for Sherbrooke.
